Ischemic optic neuropathy occurs when blood flow to the optic nerve is interrupted, causing sudden vision loss. It can be arteritic (linked to giant cell arteritis, a medical emergency) or non-arteritic (linked to vascular risk factors such as diabetes and hypertension). Optic Atrophy Treatment Center works with Pakistani patients exploring stem cell therapy for the optic nerve damage that remains after the acute event has been medically managed.
Once the acute ischemic event has passed, there is currently no established way to reverse the resulting optic nerve damage through conventional treatment. Patients often look abroad to explore additional options for the vision loss that remains.

Stem cell therapy is studied for its potential to help support optic nerve tissue affected by ischemic damage. It does not address the underlying vascular risk factors, which must continue to be managed by your physician.
Suitability depends on the stage and cause of the condition. Before travelling, our team reviews:

Excellent customer service and straight away got some improvement as my eye points stop hurting when i press them so and still on the healing process. Very experienced doctor and lovely people. Happy with it.

I came from overseas specifically for treatment. The staff not only assisted me with transport but also made the whole experience hassle-free. The medical service was of the highest standard and I was very secure in Delhi.
“No. Arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy is a medical emergency requiring immediate local treatment. This option is for the residual nerve damage once the acute phase has been medically managed.”
“No, those must continue to be managed by your physician. Our evaluation addresses the optic nerve component only.”
“At present, no — India’s visa suspension for Pakistani nationals is still in effect. A remote report review lets you prepare in advance.”
