Glaucoma optic atrophy develops when prolonged raised eye pressure damages the optic nerve fibers, leading to progressive and often irreversible vision loss if untreated. While glaucoma management (eye drops, laser, surgery) is available in Pakistan, options for patients with advanced nerve damage are limited. Optic Atrophy Treatment Center works with Pakistani patients exploring stem cell therapy to help support the remaining optic nerve tissue.
Once glaucoma has caused significant optic nerve damage, conventional treatment can only aim to prevent further loss — it cannot restore what has already been lost. Patients with advanced disease often look abroad to explore additional options for the nerve tissue that remains.

Stem cell therapy is studied for its potential to help support surviving optic nerve fibers in glaucoma-related optic atrophy. It is not a substitute for pressure-lowering treatment, which must continue under your eye specialist’s care.
Suitability depends on the stage and cause of the condition. Before travelling, our team reviews:

Excellent customer service and straight away got some improvement as my eye points stop hurting when i press them so and still on the healing process. Very experienced doctor and lovely people. Happy with it.

I came from overseas specifically for treatment. The staff not only assisted me with transport but also made the whole experience hassle-free. The medical service was of the highest standard and I was very secure in Delhi.
“No, you must continue your prescribed pressure-lowering treatment. Our evaluation addresses the optic nerve component only.”
” This option is generally explored by patients with more advanced, stable optic nerve damage. Your reports will help our team advise on suitability.”
“At present, no — India’s visa suspension for Pakistani nationals is still in effect. A remote report review lets you prepare in advance.
