Congenital Bile Acid Synthesis Disorder (CBASD) is a rare metabolic condition that prevents the body from producing primary bile acids, which are essential for absorbing fat-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin A and E. Without these nutrients, the retina and optic nerve can deteriorate over time, leading to progressive vision loss if the underlying metabolic condition is not treated. Specialized metabolic and retinal diagnostic services for this condition are scarce across Rwanda. Travelling from Rwanda — What to Expect
- Flights: Direct and one-stop flights are available from Kigali (KGL) to New Delhi (DEL), typically 9–12 hours depending on route and layover.
- Visa: Rwandaian citizens require a Medical Visa for India, arranged through the Indian High Commission in Kigali. Our team assists with the invitation letter and required documentation.
- Cost guidance: Treatment packages are quoted in USD; approximate Rwandan Franc (RWF) equivalents are provided on request.
- Stay duration: Most patients stay in Delhi NCR for 7–14 days, depending on diagnostic requirements and the treatment plan.
